Voters approve Prop 126, banning taxes on services

Arizona voters approved Proposition 126 Tuesday with roughly 66 percent of the vote, amending the state’s constitution to ban taxes on services. 

The voter-approved measure will change Arizona’s constitution to prohibit sales taxes on any service, such as haircuts, pet grooming, banking and doctor visits that were not already in effect by Dec. 31, 2017.

The proposal was pushed by the Arizona Association of Realtors and its national parent organization, the National Association of Realtors.…
